The Himalayan Children's Care Home in Pokhara, Nepal
The Himalayan Children's Care Home in Pokhara, Nepal is a chidlren's home for destitute children from the remote Himalayan Kingdom of Mustang in the far north of Nepal, jutting into Tibet. Some of the children are orphans, some have lost one parent and all are extremely poor. They visit their homes in Mustang during the holidays.
The children are provided with a wholesome upbringing, education, loving care and the traditions of their homeland are preserved, including their practice of Tibetan Buddhism. Living in HCCH provides the children with educational opportunities unavailable to them in Mustang. They are happy, welcoming children. If you volunteer or visit there you will be sure of a warm welcome. The staff and Lama Pasang Rinpoche who runs the home are welcoming, caring and dedicated.
